The Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee phoned. It was for my daughter. She evidently signed a LaRouche petition against Alito. (Note to daughter - don't give out the phone number.) They wanted money. The woman told me that Alito's most admired philosopher is Carl Schmitt, whose theories "formed the foundation of the Nazi dictatorship." She became a little frustrated with me because as she was talking all I could think of is the Ellen Jamesians from Garp - what a strange comparison to come to mind - and I pictured the LaRouchians handing in petitions and running advertisements and people noticing the sponsors and just laughing and shaking their heads. I felt bad afterwards because I agree with the action they are taking but after all, they're LaRouchians.
