We invite the public to join in as we walk Pape's original blank "canvas" in a procession from The Met Breuer to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. With this current staging of the seminal work, originally staged in the streets of the artist's native Rio in 1968, we revisit Pape's embrace of experimentation, process, contingency, experience, and desire to break down the space between the artist and the viewer.
