I know that I am one of the people who do not get art but this is insane. Ten million quid is insane for any painting.

Don't get art? All you need to know is whether you like it or not. I am serious. As far as this painting I agree with you. It's way too busy and I see nothing beyond epilepsy inducing busy-ness. These days art is an investment, better than the stock market and real estate. In Aspen, for instance, there are tons of wealthy people and they buy any crap because someone tells them it's art. But they think they are so clever discovering new artists and are certain it is a good investment. Who am I to judge. I'm just a middle class snob lol.
